Where Can Asbestos Be Found?

Asbestos is most commonly found in floor tiles, ceiling tiles, drywall and joint compound, pipe fittings and valves, and insulation.  These materials are normally found in manufacturing facilities, industrial plants, healthcare facilities, educational institutions and in your home.  If your home was built before 1980, you should make sure to get an asbestos survey prior to any remodeling, demolition or repair work.
